MES 4th graders in Mrs. Richards's room have been learning all about plant and animal structures. Today they did an experiment to understand how the stem of a plant is structured to allow water to travel through the plant. #MESProud #19EveryStudent





The Mascoutah Douglas Lodge #361 sponsored Bikes for Books at MES for 3rd-5th grade students. Through the program, students earned tickets for reading. Representatives from the Lodge pulled one lucky winner, at each grade level, to win a free bike. #MESProud #19EveryStudent

MES 2nd graders have been working on using standard units of measurement. This week, they were given the task of creating a giant whose body parts had particular measurements. Mrs. Cramer and Mrs. Zaldana's classes partnered up this week to take our Giant Measurement Task outside! What a fun way to practice using standard units of measurement and enjoy beautiful weather at the same time! #MESProud #19EveryStudent





Six weeks ago, Mrs. Suedmeyer's dog, Mr. Chips sent puppies to her class at MES. Not just any puppies, but puppies that need to hear good reading in order to grow.
